PENCILS USED, H, 4H, 5H, B, 3B, 5B, 6B & 8B. 14 Hours to Complete. My main goal with this piece or what I was attracted to first was the glow on Hauers face from the lighting - it appeared to Glow and I really wanted to try and capture that look and also....I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO AN ILLUSTRATION BASED ON THIS MOVIE BUT IT WAS SO HARD TO GET A STILL OR PHOTO FROM THE ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE THAT WAS CLEAR ENOUGH TO DO AND I FOUND ONE WITH RUTGER HAUER - I BELIEVE BLADE RUNNER IS ONE OF THE BEST SCI-FI MOVIE EVER MADE IF NOT THE BEST AND IS BASED ON THE NOVEL CALLED "DO ANDROIDS DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP".

Blade Runner is a 1982 American science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, and Sean Young. The film depicts a dystopian Los Angeles in November 2019 in which genetically engineered organic robots called replicants—visually indistinguishable from adult humans—are manufactured by the powerful Tyrell Corporation as well as by other "mega–manufacturers" around the world. Their use on Earth is banned and replicants are exclusively used for dangerous, menial or leisure work on off-world colonies.
